Tour Submission Process

  3. Submit payment via the PayPal interface at the bottom of this page
  4. Download & complete the documents located in the sidebar to the right
  5. Submit the completed documents and your entry’s photos using the Dropbox link located in the sidebar to the right

Criteria for the 2022 Austin NARI Tour of Remodeled Homes

You will now enter your projects digitally, no binders and no printed photos. Here’s how it works:

  • Only NARI members in good standing are eligible to participate
  • The project will be expected to have a custom quality of finishes. Project must be completed by October 1st & minimum price range is over $75,000 for whole homes & $50,000 for kitchen, bath or outdoor living areas
  • Entries will be heavily scrutinized for staging and presentation
  • The project must be of a scope that reflects actual changes or additions to the residence other than changes to finishes
  • Projects may be excluded due to parking restrictions
  • You must obtain written authorization from appropriate parties allowing for a home in a gated community to participate in the Tour
  • You must have the Owner(s) approval with signed release, approval authorizing his/her home to be available for viewing on the Tour dates and to be available for any photo or video shoot prior to the event
  • You must have architect & designer’s approval
  • There must be adequate parking at the site
  • Your project must be located within the Greater Austin area. All other surrounding areas will be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Copy of your company’s General Liability insurance & agree by signing to be solely responsible for the safety and well being of the visitors to your site on the days of the Tour. Your insurance acknowledges your willingness to fulfill the requirements of participation and to hold the Austin NARI harmless


You or a representative from your company must be at the mandatory meetings listed below:

  • Builder’s Meeting #1 TBA
  • Builder’s Meeting #2 TBA
  • Builder’s Pick Up & Drop off TBA
  • Premier Party TBA **Homeowner recognition**

The Executive Director prior to the engagement must approve any media presentation or appearance regarding the home that is in the Tour of Homes.

Any printed product regarding the home in the Tour must have the Austin NARI Logo on the material and needs to be approved by the Executive Director.

No alcohol may be served during the Tour hours at the home.

You must have a commercial general liability insurance policy in force at the time of the event.

You must completely staff your site for the two days of the Tour. A minimum staff will consist of a cashier, a docent, and an assistant.

You must install signs provided by Austin NARI at and near your site on the morning of the first day of the Tour, maintain those signs for the duration of the Tour, and remove them at the conclusion of the event.

Your company will be required to attach a link from your website to our Austin NARI Tour of Homes Page.

You will be required to “stage” or present the home to the public by either hiring a professional or follow the Tour of Remodeled Homes Committee’s staging recommendations checklist.

Submission Fees

  • Entry Fee $2,500.00 for the 1st Home
    This includes full page ad in the Tour Guide & 20 tour tickets
  • Entry Fee $1,000.00 for the 2nd Home
    This includes full page ad in the Tour Guide & 20 tour tickets
  • A $2,000 Back out Penalty will be assessed to any builder that defaults on project submission without sufficient cause approved by the committee and Executive Director

Project Images

After you fill out your Submission Form the Executive Director will provide you with a dropbox link. In your Picture folder you will need to provide before & after pictures by room. Please label the file by room or put pictures in different folders within the Picture Folder. If you would like to do a description please include a summary.

These images will be used for judging, presentation and promotion purposes.
These can be in .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .tif, or. tiff format. Each image must be a high quality resolution of at least 300 dpi, a minimum of size of 4 x 6 (1200 x 1800 pixels), and no larger than 10 MB each.
