The new 2011 NARI contracts are finally here. These contracts were developed by Tom Murphy, current Austin NARI member, with input from 3 Austin NARI general contractors. These contracts have been vetted and reviewed and are ready to help keep you out of hot water.
The cost of the contract package is $350 for Austin NARI members in good standing. The package is available to non-members for $1100. Included in this package are the following:
- Fixed costs residential long form – 15 pages
- Fixed costs residential short form – 9 pages
- Cost Plus residential long form – 17 pages
- Cost Plus residential short form – 10 pages
- Affidavit of debts paid and lien release
- Affidavit of debts paid and lien release (Subcontractor)
- Subcontractor agreement
- Workers compensation agreement between contractor and sub
The package is available by contacting Linda Oliver at the new NARI office. Please contact her at 512-997-NARI (6274) or linda@austinnari.org. They are available immediately and will be mailed out upon payment.
The April general membership meeting will feature Tom speaking about these contracts and will address specific content. If membership brings up issues or concerns that are not included in the contracts and Tom deems it viable and critical, we will update the contracts as appropriate and send out revisions to those who have already purchased the package.
If a member purchases the contract package and wants to speak to Tom about modification for your specific needs, clarification or more specific detail, he will do so at the rate of $125/hour, which is a discount from his normal rate of $225/hour.
